The FIRE Calc ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect (very little), how we use it, and your rights. The short version: all calculations happen in your browser and we do not store your financial data.

Information We Do Not Collect

The calculator inputs you enter — age, income, savings, contributions — are processed entirely in your browser using JavaScript. This data is never transmitted to our servers and is never stored. We have no database of user financial information.

Information We May Collect

  • Analytics data — We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage (which pages are visited, general geographic region, device type). This data is anonymised and does not include personally identifiable information. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Server logs — Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamp) are retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes.
  • Cookies — We use a small number of functional cookies (e.g., remembering your cookie consent preference). We do not use tracking cookies beyond what Google Analytics requires.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Google Analytics 4 — For site analytics. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Fonts— Fonts are loaded from Google's CDN. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

Advertising

We may display advertisements through Google AdSense or affiliate programs. These services may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our site or other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings.
